SVTOA on Shenandoah

SVTOA was on Shenandoah and SPR this past Saturday-Monday enjoying the wet weather and slick track conditions. Brian, Jeff and Mark put on a great show and everyone seemed to have a great time. Most everyone did well and kept on track. The display of ford powered equipment was impressive. From vintage mustangs with full griggs suspension to brand new Shelby mustangs. There were many other SVT examples like the lightning and the focus taking to the track.

This event was like many other HPDEs we have attended where drivers are in classroom and out on track with an instructor. There are different group levels to keep like drivers together. The overall feel in the paddock was very relaxed even though mother nature wouldn't let up with the rain.

At the morning meeting, I was given the opportunity to speak to all the drivers about the new Karting operation that is being launched in June. Many expressed interest and will be back to try their hands at the little machines. Next year we are planning to include Karting with the SVTOA on track event.
